Lovely little bump

I get so excited when a friend gets pregnant...too excited some might say, but I do love babies and I do love my friends!  I had the pleasure of doing one of my closest friend's maternity photos, on what was possible the nicest day of the year so far!  She looked stunning...she's always been beautiful, but pregnancy really looks great on her.   I love how perfectly round her belly is and cannot wait until that tiny baby boy makes his appearance!  Love you M & T!!

Two little darlings

In case you didn't know, I love babies and kids.  For as long as I can remember, I have been gushing over tiny toes and chubby rolls, new baby smell and toothless grins, so I was very excited to photograph, not one, but two beautiful little ladies.  The littlest of the ladies was a mere 13 days old and a wonderful sport throughout the session and her big sis, two and a half years her senior, was such a doll and I'm pretty sure that my baby boy has his first crush...if of course that's possible at 9 months old!!

Run little K, run!!

Wow, how refreshing it was to take a drive, sans kids, out to Rosedale last weekend for a photo shoot of a very lovely little lady!  Miss K was a big ball of energy and even when the skies opened up and poured down on her, she still had a smile from ear to ear and not a care in the word.  She definitely made me 'run for my money', but I wouldn't have had it any other way!  I must give a thank you to miss K's wonderful mommy and grandmas (mommy is 6 months prego!) who helped in rounding her up for me!  Thank you for the awesome session!  Oh, and sorry that there are so many images; she was just so gorgeous that I couldn't help myself!!

My growing girl

Looks like I may have blinked again! My first born, that tiny beautiful baby, my fancy dress and footy-tight wearing little girl is most definitely growing up. Nevada is a very strong, mature and intelligent 4 and a half year old and so I have a very hard time looking at her and believing that she is in fact only 4 and a half. She melts my heart everytime I look at her. I am so looking forward to watching her mature even more and grow into a little lady, but am sad that time has to fly by so fast. So here is a blink of an eye, a bounce in a step, a moment in time...all caught in a few photos. Forever and always...

It's cake time!!

Being on maternity leave has not only given me the opportunity to bond with my baby and take photographs until the cows come home, but has also allowed me to become creative and inspired in other aspects of my life. Last September, I had the bright idea to make a cake decorated with fondant (home made fondant) for my dad's birthday and it, to my surprise, turned out better than expected! This then led to an extravagant Alice In Wonderland cake for my daughter's 4th birthday party, a somewhat elegant birthday cake (29th again) for my mom and today, a bright and spring inspired cake for my grandma's birthday. I have to say that without YouTube, venturing down this cake decorating road would have been much bumpier! My next ventures in cake decorating will be for one of my closest friend's baby boy and (sniff sniff) my little guy's 1st birthday cake. I'll make sure to post photos of those cakes as well!
