Eight months went by so fast!

I've had the urge to write a new post and what better thing to write about than family?  My baby boy, Cohen, just turned 8 months and I'm in disbelief...how is it that there are times when it feels like you blink and everything changes?  I have tried my best to take in every possible moment, but wonder if I'm going to miss something.  And to that, I give you my next entry; my 8 month old little man!

 

One rainy Christmas Eve

Here I am backtracking again...

Now, as most of you know, the lower mainland has some questionable weather and it is quite hard to predict what any given day will hold and this day was no exception!  I had a lovely family that only had 2 days that they were available for their photos, as it was Christmas vacation and living hours from one another made it impossible to get together at any other time.  Well, unfortunately, the only day that worked (Christmas Eve) happened to be a miserable gloomy day, but this family was able to bring their own light to the shoot.  It's always amazing to see such love and kindness.  It was a soggy but wonderful session!

Every first counts!

I was thrilled to see the sun peaking out from around the clouds this afternoon, as it gave me the opportunity to go outside with my kiddos and play!  It was Cohen's first time on the swing set, which he loved, and I was able to get a few great photos in between pushes.  Nevada was thrilled to have her little brother swinging along beside her.  What a great day!

Wide eyed beauty

Now when I say wide eyed, I mean it!  This brand new 7 day old beauty slept for a total of approximately 5 minutes of our almost 3 hour session!  She may have been awake for most of the time, but it wasn't too huge a concern, as she was so even tempered and only cried a couple of times when she was ready for a bite to eat.  I couldn't get over how tiny and gorgeous she was, with her long dark locks and her greeny-blue eyes.  I think her daddy is going to have his hands full!

Little man, big personality!

I had the pleasure yesterday of photographing this energetic young man.  While cautious and serious at first, he was soon showing off his adorable smile and trying to share all of his toys with me.  He really was a sweet baby boy.  I love looking at a photo and seeing a sparkle in the subject's eyes and this little guy definitely sparkled!

Seems like yesterday..

I was buzzing around some files of photos from a couple of years ago, then compared them to now and was reminded just how fast time is flying by.  My baby girl is growing up so quickly and sometimes I have to stop and remember the perfect baby, happy toddler and smiley preschooler that she once was.  I'm so lucky to have such a precious little daughter.  I truly feel that she will be a wonderful little girl and eventually a strong beautiful woman.  Love you my little Nevada... xoxo
